Powder White has just completed an 8th successful season and is starting already to make preparations for winter 20011/12.  Due to the planned new programme launch, we are looking for strong and knowledgeable Resort Managers to join our busy overseas teams this winter.
Our Resort Managers are extremely important to ensuring that our guests’ holiday lives up to and beyond not only to our exacting standards but to their expectations.  Their week is extremely busy and will involve meeting the needs of not only your guests, but your staff and of equal importance, the London Office.  You must be a mine of information, extremely approachable and permanently accessible to ensure our guests get the very most out of their holiday and are provided with what we are contracted to provide.
 Responsibilities:
  • Resort & Chalet Accounts taking responsibility for the resort bank account, any company monies held in resort and processing guest payments
  • To meet and exceed targets set in relation to Ski Pack Sales and in-resort Property Extras sales, providing detailed weekly returns analysis and turnover figures for all chalets, hotels and apartment bookings
  • Customer Welfare, Customer Services, Follow-Up and detailed Report Writing
  • Managing Day to Day Logistics & Resort Operations
  • Overseeing Changeover Day departures & arrivals and transfer operations
  • In-Resort Recruitment and continued Training throughout the season including inclusion in the Chalet Host Training early December
  • Organisation of & participation in property standards and customer welfare visits for all chalets, hotels and apartments
  • Ensure smooth operation of resort set-up and closedown in accordance with London Office requirements
  • To complete all paperwork as required in a timely and professional fashion – to include set up and closedown schedules, weekly accounts, property information forms, inventories, end of season reports and fire safety schedules
  • To hold weekly team meetings on both Accounts and Weekly Operations
  • Staff Management & Disciplinary Procedures, working closely with your Product Coodinator to ensure the highest of Powder White standards are constantly maintained
  • Maintaining and developing excellent supplier relationships through good communication and use of local language
  • Overseeing resort vehicle maintenance and ensuring these are maintained as a viable commodity in the Powder White programme in terms of maximising resort transfers
  • To perform other duties as may be required from time to time and/or provide cover as and when necessary whether this be in your resort or in another Powder White resort
 Experience Required:
  • Proven record of excellent team management & leadership as well as proven ability to work alone and on your own initiative
  • Relevant customer service experience and forthright approach to dealing with difficult situations in a customer-facing environment
  • Good  accounting & budgeting skills with proven ability of achieving targets in similar surroundings
  • Computer literacy in Excel & Word
  • Fluent French or German in both written and most importantly, conversation
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to drive your team forward to achieve , excel and exceed expectations
