I know it might seem an eternity away but it won’t be long until you are rushing around the shops buying presents, thinking about how many to cook for, what size turkey to buy and so on… we have all been there. This is why we are providing you the top 5 reasons to escape all of that and enjoy a white Christmas.

Reasons to ski over Christmas…

1. Christmas Offers

With plenty of great offers in resorts including a whopping 15% off all catered chalets, you can treat yourself, even more, this year (maybe extra presents?)

Last year I spent my Christmas working with Powder White as a Chalet Host and it was a fantastic atmosphere in resort. Snow falling on the Christmas lights, enjoy the local mulled wine and opening presents with my friends.

2. Kick back and relax

Picture this. You get up in the morning for your Christmas breakfast and to open your presents. You then put on your ski gear and head out to enjoy the untouched slopes. Then come back to your four courses of Christmas dinner, wine and oh yes, champagne! Then finally, you sit back and relax in front of an open fire enjoying playing board games with the family while the chalet host takes care of the dishes and clearing up.christmas-tree

If you had enough of relaxing in the day, there is plenty of bars and events going on in resorts to keep you going. Courchevel, Meribel, Val d’Isere, Verbier and St Anton.

Sounds like a dream right? Well, I ensure you it’s just what Powder White offer their guests over the Christmas period. Stress-free, relaxing and saving the precious time for you to enjoy with your loved ones.

3. White Christmas

Swap the rain for the snow. Is there anything better than skiing on Christmas day surrounded by the mountains, your friends and family and the beautiful white fluffy stuff? I personally don’t think so. With Christmas landing on a Saturday this year you can book your holiday from Tuesday 20th December to Tuesday 27th December 2016, saving you that chaos when travelling on Christmas Eve or leaving on Boxing Day. 4. Christmas Day

Still undecided about going or not… Here is how you could be spending your Christmas day with Powder White:

Wake up to your presents under the pine Christmas tree (just let Santa know where you are this year) and a cooked & continental champagne breakfast to get your Christmas day started on the right track.

Clip in and strap up. Enjoy a fun-filled day on the slopes with your family and friends while your dinner is being cooked for you.

Come out the snow and into the warm to enjoy some lovely mince pies that Santa left out while you were skiing. Then, snack on handmade canapes before you indulge in your four course Christmas dinner.

* * * * * *

The locally sourced whole turkey (not breast like other companies use) is stuffed and cooked for your desired time. This is complimented with all the traditional trimmings, roast veg, sweet red cabbage, stuffing, bread sauce, Christmas crackers and of course… cranberry sauce!

Once you have made space after your feasting, you can enjoy the pudding, cheese board, coffee and tea AND mini chocolates… if you do have space that is.

And finally, kick back and relax… you have earned it.

5. Memories to treasure

“You can always make money, but you can’t always make memories”

Create a rememberable Christmas memory this year in the Alps. In the kind words of Sinead Oconnor, “Nothing compares” to the memories that you can make together with family and friends this Christmas. We all know how fast the year flys by and that time is limited while you have the means and energy to enjoy skiing.

I mean, wouldn’t it be nice to look back in years from now, where you enjoyed opening your presents in chalet surrounded by snow, followed by an unforgettable day or skiing (and a few mulled wines) and finally eating a four course Christmas dinner you didn’t have to slave over and wash up after.

So this year make sure your hashtag on Instagram #happiness #memories #christmasskiing because it truly is something special. How would I know? I did it last year with my friends (I am the good funny looking one in the middle if you were wondering).

With 15% off all Christmas week catered chalets prices, it would be rude not too.
