We understand the importance of making sure our guests receive the right food of the highest quality. We pride ourselves on offering good home-made dinner party style food rather than anything too fussy or nouvelle cuisine. We have therefore enlisted the help of a leading chef and food writer Katie Bishop to advise us on menu and food product planning.
Katie was a young culinary talent voted Young Cook of Britain in 1992, aged 14, against 32,000 entrants. This awarded her time in the company of her British food hero's - such as Brian Turner, Sophie Grigson and Raymond Blanc. She has also spent time in the kitchens with top Chefs Rowley Leigh and Philip Britten.
After such a hedonistic start in the gourmet world, Katie decided to go back to her family roots and look at the origins of food, gaining a first class honors degree in agriculture. Since graduating in 1998, Katie has chefed around the world and worked extensively in food editorial, assisting amongst others Gordon Ramsey and Aldo Zilli with their food styling and regularly contributing recipes to publications such as Waitrose Magazine, Olive and Good Food. Her first book, The Ultimate Mixer Cook Book, was released globally in 2002 and she is currently working on her second. She also appears regularly as presenter on UK Food, Sky 1 and Saturday Cooks amongst others.
Katie continues to be a fresh advocate for modern foodies who may live in the fast lane, but share her simplistic approach to the origins and benefits of real, good food. |
