Contract dates of mid-August 2008 to end March 2009 with a view to going full-time in the future

Proposed Salary: Basic £16-18k + commission. OTE £22k (to include salary & bonus) – PRO RATA

Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays (date restrictive) – PRO RATA

Hours: 9.00-5.30 3 days per week with evening and weekend telephone covering rota (possibly in office during peak months of Nov/Dec/Jan, other times on diversion)
Powder White has just completed a 5th successful season and is starting already to make preparations for the 2008/09 season. Due to the planned chalet programme expansion, we are looking for a strong and knowledgeable Hotels & Chalets Sales Consultant to join our busy team in Wandsworth, London. Successful applicants will have the following (preferred but not essential):
· A good knowledge of hotel and tailor-made holidays
· Preferable knowledge of all Powder White hotel resorts (educational organised)
· Good sales experience
· Excellent communication skills with a real focus on customer service
· Good IT skills to include Word, Excel and internet (training given on the Powder White database)
· Outgoing personality with the drive to succeed and “close the deal”
· Team-player with a calm disposition, always helpful especially at peak times
· Working knowledge of French and/or German ideal especially when dealing with hotel owners, but not essential
· EU work permit with UK NI number
The Role is split into 2 main areas of responsibility:
1. Maximise Powder White Hotel Sales
· The initial treatment of hotel enquiries received through phonecalls and emails
· Devising a system to log all enquiries and chasing enquiries converting them into sales
· Maximise repeat bookings potential working closely to ensure all chalet and hotel previous guests are targeted
· Updating of the Powder White website and submissions of new hotels &resorts
· Putting together hotel packages to include flights and private transfer
· Checking hotel availability, confirming reservations and arranging payments
· Dealing with chalets enquiries as and when necessary
2. Business Development for Powder White Hotels Programme
· Find suitable partners to work with to improve sales and increase visibility of the Powder White Hotels brand.
· Working closely with Contracting, researching new resorts and hotels into which to expand
