Champagne:

Picard & Boyer Brut Non Vintage

34% Pinot Meunier 33% Pinot Noir 33% Chardonnay

A wonderfully refreshing, zingy champagne with an aroma of apples, a lovely lime acidity and a hint of

crisp clean citrus fruit.  Firm structure in the mouth and a long lingering finish.  A perfect example of

small producer craftsmanship.

White Wines:

Montarels Viognier 2005 Côtes de Thongue

100% Viognier

This wine could almost be baby Condrieu.  Classic aroma of apricots with some marmalade as well.  Rich

and unctuous in the mouth without being cloying.  Apricot fruit with lemon acidity and a rich and

persistent finish.

Muscadet de Sevre et Maine Sur Lie Prestige de l'Hermitage 2004 Domaine Clair Moreau
100 % Melon de Bourgogne

Classic muscadet, very much in a modern style.  This wine retains all the traditional clean crispness of

the area but with all the benefits of modern wine making technique.  Apple and lemon aromas and

a lovely fresh acidity and citrus fruit on the palate.  Incisive wine with lovely clean structure.

Chateau Perin de Naudine, Graves 2005 Olivier Colas
100% Sauvignon Blanc

Fantastic example of Bordeaux white.  A typical nose of gooseberries with some wetslate minerality.

Firm structure with zingy acidity and gooseberry and lime fruit.  Rich mouth feel and a long persistent

crisp finish.

Red Wines:

Chateau Puynormond Vieilles Vignes, Montagne Saint-Emilion 2003 Philippe Lamarque
100% Merlot (12 months in a 40% new, 30% 1 year, 30% 2 years old oak barrels)

Very stylish modern claret.  The nose is classic cassis and cedar wood.  On the palate there is masses

of soft velvety blackcurrant fruit with soft ripe tannins.  Lovely harmonious balance and a complex l

ayered finish.

Cotes du Roussillon Villages, Cuvée Les Candalieres 2005 Domaine Seguela
60% Carignan, 20% Syrah, 20% Grenache

Stunning wine made from 60year old vines.  A massive nose of bramble, blackberry and spice.  Huge

structure, with ripe tannins and black forest fruit with a hint of leather and spice.  A smoky rich finish

completes a very serious wine.

Chateau L’Hestrange Grand Ordinaire 2004

100% Pinot Noir

Made from old vine Pinot in the Beaujolais region.  An ultra modern expression of complex, multi layered

wine.  A perfumed nose of raspberry pips and red berries.  Very smooth and silky on the palate with

soft summer berry fruit and good balancing acidity.  Well rounded, balanced finish.
