The position of Chalet Host offers a really rewarding and fulfilling way in which to spend 5 months in the snow. It is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and hold a position of real responsibility which will set you up with superb experience which is adaptable to so many future roles you may take on.
Whilst completing a cookery course is likely to improve your application with Powder White, what is more important to us is your ability to work as part of a team, act on your own initiative and prove an excellent work experience record both in and out of catering. We feel it essential that a strong understanding of hard work is an absolute necessity; therefore if you are just leaving school or University, we will be looking for you to complete a prolonged period of relevant employment between now and the start of the season. We ask you to please be understanding and accepting in this respect - we are currently experiencing a huge demand for very few jobs we have available therefore it is unlikely that a short or basic cookery course alone will be enough to secure a role with us.
