Resort Manager

This is probably the most challening and demanding of the posts we have available, but it promises to offer a most rewarding experience. Our Resort Managers hold total responsibility within their resort. The role is very diverse and will include everything from staff management to stock-control or from guest welfare to chalet maintenance.  It is a non-stop role and requires total commitment and pro-activity.

What the position involves:

  • Ensuring that our guests are receiving the highest standards of service
  • Managing and overseeing the resort team which will consist of Chalet Mangers, Chalet Cleaners and Drivers/Handymen
  • Maximising communications between resort and the London office to ensure the smooth-running of your resort
  • Heading up and working as part of a small, focused resort team
  • Maintaining and developing supplier relations in resort ensuring all guests receive correct ski packs as ordered
  • Overseeing arrivals & departures on changeover day 
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with guests from week to week through regular chalet visits
  • Holding weekly resort meetings for your team of staff
  • Completing all paperwork efficiently and accurately including weekly accounts returns
  • Ensuring that all members of your team are carrying out their roles with efficiency and to the high Powder White standards 
  • Taking responsibility for all Powder White monies held in resort
  • Overseeing regular stock-takes of food goods, chalet suppliers, linen and wine
  • Ensuring the maintenance of resort vehicles where applicable
  • Overseeing any maintenance issues and ensuring the correct care of all Powder White property including staff accommodation

Abilities Needed & Expectations:

Qualifications & Requirements:

Personable and outgoing personality

EU passport & UK National Insurance number essential

Ability to act under pressure & keep a clear head

Previous hospitality experience

Good team player with ability to lead by example

Relevant customer service experience, ideally in the travel industry

Excellent guest relations & interpersonal skills

Previous team management experience

Hard-working and self-motivating work ethic

Good accounting & budgeting experience

Being pro-active and ability to think for yourself

Computer literacy in Word and Excel

Very good numeric, administrative & organisational skills

Preferably educated to degree standard but not essential

Good communication skills with a sense of humour

Fluent French or German preferred

Professionalism and flexibility

Full, clean driving license

Salary package for these positions ranges from  £28k to £32 per annum pro rata to include your own apartment, salary, food allowance, ski benefits etc.
