This is a role which demands a great deal of interaction with both guests and colleagues with a huge amount of flexibility. Our Logistics Managers need to be quick-thinking, pro-active, resourceful, self motivated with a sociable and happy approach to their job. It is a very physical position which ranges from linen or wine deliveries to taking responsibility for vehicle maintenance or helping out Chalet Hosts in times of stress. This is a fantastic position with lots of variety and will enable you to meet many different people during your stay in resort.
What the Position of Logistics Manager involves:
- Reporting to and liaising very closely with your Resort Manager & taking responsibility for resort in their absence
Driving:
- Being prepared to drive at all times when on duty, taking appropriate care to ensure safety of all concerned
- Carrying out the safe transfer of guests to and from their accommodation to the slopes (where applicable)
- Transporting our staff on a weekly basis to and from the shops (often in the valley) and helping with their large shopping loads
- Delivery wine, linen and bathroom accessories to all properties
- Delivery of all ski passes on changeover day to ensure maximum skiing time for all our guests
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Managing and maintaining the Powder White vehicles on a daily basis, ensuring they remain clean and roadworthy at all times
- Fitting and removing snow chains as required in order to drive safely around the resort
- Report immediately to the Resort Manager any damage to vehicles
- Parking vehicles in a responsible fashion at all times. Powder White will not accept responsibility for parking fines, other than in exceptional circumstances
Chalet Maintenance:
- Taking responsibility for any maintenance issues arising in any of the Powder White properties including staff accommodation
- Carry out snow clearing outside Powder White properties as required
- Maintaining the log supply, bathroom accessories and wine supply at each chalet - unloading and storing
- Overseeing and stock-taking weekly supplies of linen and ensuring correct numbers are always available to Chalet Managers
- Assisting with set up and close down weeks - ensuring the Powder White store inventory is up to date
Service:
- Ensuring that our guests receive the highest standards and levels of customer care
- Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with all guests
- Working as part of a close team and being prepared to help out in any situation

Previous hospitality experience preferred but not essential |

Excellent guest relations & interpersonal skills |
Good driving experience |

Hard-working and self-motivating work ethic |
Strong physique for wine and linen deliveries etc |
|
Being pro-active and ability to think for yourself |
Good practical and mechanical experience |

Very good organisational skills |
Preferably educated to degree standard but not essential |
|
Good communication skills with a sense of humour |
Conversational French or German preferred |
|
Professionalism and flexibility |
Full, clean driving license |
