Avoriaz - Après Ski & Nightlife

We have taken it upon ourselves to sample the bars of Avoriaz and produce a detailed list of the ones that we would recommend going to; they each stand out for their own reasons, but you better go an test a few to see which you like best......

Typically English

Le Tavaillon

An English style pub in the centre of the resort with a heated patio, this place is a great place to go for a chat with friends over a few well priced drinks. It is quieter option but still retains a pub atmosphere with quizzes and sports.

Over 50 different flavoured shots

Le Shooters

There is always a party atmosphere in this popular establishment, with drinks flying and over 50 flavours of shot to choose from. The speciality drink is the Les Metres des Shooters.  Happy Hour is between 4 and 5pm, followed by a second round between 8 and 9pm – this is a great bar to let loose.

Live music - different band each night

Le Place

A Danish bar with live music each afternoon and evening.  They feature a different band each evening and the crowd here are very lively. It is easy to spend your week's evenings here, enjoying fun-filled post skiing partying.

Typical French night club

Le Yak

A popular French club and a fantastic end to your evening if you are looking for a late night party. The nightclub is great, although the music can be cheesy at times and drinks tend to be quite expensive. The club is open until 2am, so come here a little later in the evening.

Something a little bit different...
Wild Horse Saloon
Step back in time to the days of the Western. Sip your drinks in this saloon style bar coated in wooden decor. The bar man, or Sheriff of the Saloon, will ring the bell for Happy Hour from 6 until 7pm.

A little more reserved...

Le Globe Trotters Cafe

This cafe/bar is a warm and pleasant place to spend an afternoon or evening whilst soaking up the sun on the large sun terrace. Drinks prices are better than most in this establishment and you can taste a selection of great wines from all over the world.

Not up to dancing...
Le Chapka

A warm, friendly and festive bar with a more relaxed atmosphere - if you are not up for a big night on the tiles, come here to socialise with friends over a game of darts or pool, whilst watching the latest sporting events on the many televisions.

Get away for an afternoon...
La Caverne (Morzine)
If you fancy a change of scene, ski down to Morzine and revel in the delights of this après ski bar with great djs and bands and a fantastic atmosphere...and a longer happy hour! Have a knees up here before getting the last bus back to Avoriaz at 7.45pm or gondola at 8pm.
