Travelling to Avoriaz

Transport...often the one thing that people put at the bottom of their ‘to do’ list and end up leaving until the last minute! Getting to Avoriaz is easy, accessible via various different routes and modes of transport.  Here is some information that should help you, but if you need a little more, please don't hesitate to contact our team in the office who will be more than happy to point you in the right direction...literally.

Courchevel Transfer Times

Powder White hold an Air Travel Organiser's Licence granted by The Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 6860.  We can offer you a range of different flight options and whether you prefer to book low cost airline flights yourself or have us book charter or scheduled seats, executive jets and helicopters on your behalf, you can choose the most suitable options available.  Also, if you are travelling from outside of the UK you have the freedom to book a direct flight to your destination without having to go via London, therefore saving you time, money and a unnecessary additional journey.

The nearest airport to is Geneva Airport and this is the most popular. It offers the biggest selection of scheduled international flights. Chambery is also close by, but if you plan on getting a private or shared transfer, Geneva is your best option.

Choosing to book a private transfer is great if you and your party want to be greeted at the airport with a vehicle to yourselves. You will receive an excellent service that operates door to door. Powder White runs its own private transfer service and we have a great relationship with a number of transfer companies too. Due to private transfers being one of the most popular modes of transportation to resort, it is always best to book in advance and advisable not to leave until the last minute! So book now to avoid disappointment!

Please call the UK Operations Team on +44 (0) 208 877 8887 and they can advise and book your transfers for you.

Shared transfers are fantastic if you want to cut the cost of travelling to resort – that is, if you don’t mind travelling with people you don't know. Prices will suit single passengers, couples and smaller groups the best. We can help to arrange transfers through companies such as the Ski Fleet.

If you are thinking you are going to brave the drive – look no further than CarHire3000. They guarantee the cheapest car hire around and they have a great range of vehicles on offer. You can book your car hire on their website – here www.carhire3000.com. If you don’t trust your sat nav, we have directions below to help you.

NB: In an alpine environment Sat Navs are not always accurate and they will not be aware of road closures.
For driving in France, it is important that you check you have the following:

*Do also remember your snow chains, you may not be allowed up to resort without them. Also recommended by motoring organisations (and in some cases a legal requirement) for continental travel in winter are the following items: Small spares kit, fire extinguisher, spare keys, manufacturer’s handbook, & shovel.
In France, it is now a legal requirement from November 2012 to carry a breathalyzer in your car at all times. You will be fined by police if you cannot produce one on request.
