Nestled under the South Eastern slopes of the Mont Blanc Massif at the very top of the Aosta Valley, Coumayeur has world famous charm and is surrounded by dramatic alpine scenery with 14 peaks over 4000 metres.

The cobbled streets that trickle off the Via Roma in the old town boast some of the best restaurants in the Alps and also some of the highest Italian fashion. The resort is split into 3 main areas or villages: Courmayeur, on a south-facing ridge; Dolonne, just over the river in the valley; and Entrèves, a little way up the valley from Dolonne. Each has its own lift to the resort ski area.

The resort has plenty of character and the ski area offers the most variety and scope to intermediates, although experts can enjoy the off-piste terrain and opportunity to experience heliskiing. In addition, there are links to Chamonix for those looking to venture further afield.
