A legendary region which has enjoyed cult status for as long as skiing has been a winter passion, the Arlberg is the cradle of alpine skiing and the destination of choice for all those who have fallen under the spell of the alpine winter.
It was here that Hannes Schneider founded the Arlberg Ski School which revolutionised downhill skiing techniques and here, in Zürs, that the first drag lift in Austria was built. St. Anton was also home to the first cable car designed for winter use, the Galzigbahn. The Arlberg is one of Nature’s crown jewels and each of the five villages - Lech, Zürs, St. Anton, St. Christoph and Stuben – has its own unique character and charm. Together they form a single ski region - Ski Arlberg, and together they wish you a very warm welcome!
