Les Arcs - Activities
Les Arcs has such a beautiful landscape to take in and excellent restaurants that not everyone goes to Les Arcs to purely ski. Les Arcs has got an abundance of non-skiing activities that can be enjoyed, which include; snowshoeing and walking trails, paragliding, snowmobiles, dog sledging, ice skating, spas and fitness centres, and not forgetting the many bars and restaurants that Les Arcs has to offer. There is also a great selection of shops in the nearby village of Bourg St Maurice.

Snowshoeing and Walking Trails
There are many pedestrian circuits and scenic cross country routes to explore in Les Arcs. A pedestrian pass can be bought which will cover all of the circuits and also offer non skiers the chance to meet up with friends and family for lunch at the mountain restaurants. There are many snowshoe trips that can be taken with mountain guides throughout Les Arcs.

Paragliding
Tired of having your feet firmly on the ground and want to try something new? Why not discover Les Arcs from a height, for the ultimate exhilaration soar above the ski runs and snow-capped mountains, experience nothing but silence and the freedom of flying. Once you are in the air the views and tranquillity combine into a truly amazing feeling. There are a number of paragliding schools in the area that offer tandem flights.

Snowmobile
This is one of the most popular events with thrill seekers. The bikes can take 1 or 2 people at a time and there is also the option of swapping over half way through the activity. This means everyone has the option of being in control, being controlled and then just totally out of control! This activity is led by a guide and involves an hour's ride around a specially selected track. Drivers must be over 18 years and have a current driving licence, passengers must be over 12 years old. Price per snowmobile per hour (1 or 2 riders) is €85.

Hot Air Balloon

Dog Sledging
This is not a ride where you sit back and relax! You are in charge of your own sled and huskies, so it is an energetic, exhilarating experience. If you are looking for a way of viewing the beautiful alpine scenery of Les Arcs without exerting yourself then this is the perfect way to do it.
