Trains
Getting the Eurostar is a great alternative to flying out to resort or driving. You can get the Eurostar from King’s Cross St Pancras to the French Alps directly, and it avoids the hassle of early check in times and the lengthy transfer to resort, as Moutiers is less than half an hour’s transfer to Meribel. Depending on which trains you pick you can also get 8 days of skiing into your 7 night holiday. There is an overnight train leaving on Friday evenings so you can ski on Saturday, or a couple of Saturday morning trains that arrive early evening in time for dinner. For your return journey you can depart on Saturday mornings and Saturday evenings.
The prices are dependent on availability at the time of booking and the fares and timetables have not been confirmed for next season yet, but these aim to give an idea:
Standard Class Non-flexible return tickets start at £90 for children and £149 for adults
First Class Non-flexibel return tickets start at £200 for children and £299 for adults
Coach
If you can cope with the overnight journey, an excellent way to travel to resort is via the Ski Meribel coach.
Leave London Victoria on Friday evening so will arrive in resort the following morning
Leaves Moutiers at 6pm Saturday evening.
£149 return journey
Unlimited luggage allowance
Your own bunk! The seats turn into beds so that you can have a comfortable night’s sleep and arrive refreshed.
