The first chairlift opened at Mont Tremblant in 1939. Since then skiiers and snowboarders have flocked here for its 600+ acres of skiable terrain, 18 acres of ramps, rails, jumps and superpipe, and picturesque village along with a certain "joie de vivre" . Mont Tremblant translates as “Trembling Mountain”, but don’t let that fool you (unless you have had one too many in the eclectic selection of village aprés bars!).

Mont Tremblant has 4 metres of snow on average per year, allowing for great on and off piste skiing. Ski Canada Magazine has recognised it as the best ski resort in Eastern Canada for the last 14 years and no doubt its large number of shops and restaurants have helped in earning the award. The surrounding area of Mont Tremblant is great for hiking and snowshoeing should you want to mix things up on your ski holiday!
