Val Thorens Ski Resort

Val Thorens
Top ski resort with excellent access to the 3 Valleys ski area
Very high altitude meaning snow sure skiing for early and late season
Suitable for all levels of skier and snowboarder

Some of the liveliest après ski bars in Europe
Great range of activties for the non-skier
Off Piste:

Val Thorens is big on the white stuff - as the highest ski resort in Europe at 2300m, it is one of the most snow sure that you can visit in the French Alps. Although perhaps not the most picturesque ski resort, what it lacks in looks it more than makes up for in convenience and skiing on offer. The purpose built village is more or less on the piste and a vast array of local amenities are on the doorstep, with numerous bars and restaurants only a stone’s throw away. Ski holidays in Val Thorens are a sure way to get the most out of the snow.

Skiing in Val Thorens is suitable for all levels, with some fantastic beginner slopes all the way through to some of the more challenging off piste itineraries in the Three Valleys for advanced skiers.

Val Thorens has one of the liveliest après ski scenes in Europe, rivalling the likes of Val d’Isère. The Folie Douce sits high up the mountain and combines cheesy Euro-pop with abundant toffee vodka and the most vibrant of atmospheres.  It's a fantastic place to finish a hard day's skiing! If you fancy a day off the skiing or you are a non-skier, then there is a huge variety of activities available in resort ranging from the infamous ice circuit to the more tranquil activity of snowshoeing.

Family friendly, compact, snow sure and slope-side, it is very difficult to beat Val Thorens! And if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Val Thorens without breaking your budget, we have a fantastic selection of self catered apartments in Val Thorens.
