Val Thorens - Activities

There is a good selection of non-skiing activities in Val Thorens including; swimming, sports centre, bowling, cinema, cross-country skiing as well as markets and weekly concerts held in the church. Val Thorens also has an abundance of bars and restaurants, as well as a selection of shops.

 

Swimming

Relax with family or friends in 1 of the 2 swimming pools available in Val Thorens Sports Centre. The swimming area also has a spa, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and relaxation area.

 

Well-Being

Relax and enjoy being pampered in the well-being area of the sports centre. The area has sun beds, water massaging beds, Australian saunas and full or partial body massages.

 

Leisure Activities and Sports

Here you can enjoy numerous sporting activities including; tennis, squash, badminton, ping-pong, volleyball, football and basket ball to name a few.

 

Fun Park

With more than 600m2 of trampolines, bouncy castles, plastic ball pools there is plenty to keep the children entertained.

Ice Driving

If you are looking to enjoy a good adrenalin rush, discover the highest ice-racing track in Europe. Learn to steer, counter-steer and braking techniques all under the watchful eye of a train professional. The circuit is officially recongnised by the Trophee Andros races.  This is the perfect opportunity to try something completely new, when else will you get the chance to drive a rally car on ice in such picturesque surroundings.

Luge

A unique sledding experience, Le Toboggan is open to all ages; re-discover your child's soul and take a run on the longest toboggan track in France. Spectacular views, hilarious moments, adrenalin rushes and surprises are what you can expect from this exhilarating downhill run. The 6km long run, which starts at the foot of the imposing Glacier de Peclet at 3000m, the course features banked turns and variously angled corners. The toboggan is open daily from 10am to 3pm as well as 3 evenings a week, the price per day with a sledge and helmet is €11.50

Snowmobile

From 5:30pm every night, you can become a snowmobile driver and take off on an unforgettable adventure. You can either ride sole or with one passenger, following your guide as they introduce you to the magic of travelling over snow on a high mountain evening in a wild territory.

Bowling

Tired of making all those turns on the slope then try making a straight line and go for the strike at the bowling alley. The bowling alley has eight child-friendly lanes (age 6 and over), 2 billiards room (pool and snooker), 1 games room and a sports bar with a giant video screen. The bowling alley is open until 2:00am in the morning.

Music Concerts

The Val Thorens Classic and Jazz association has been offering to you for the past 14 years a concert of classical and jazz music every Tuesday at 6:30pm in Val Thorens Church. If you enjoy music and are looking for a change rather than going to a bar or undertaking a sporting activity this is a great evening's entertainment.

Kids Snowshoe Excursion

Val Thorens offers snowshoe adventures specifically designed for children. Fun, educational, these excursions encourage kids to discover the mountain's flora and fauna in a magical setting.

 

Kid's Torchlight Parade

A unique and magical adventure, in a completely safe environment, holding mini torches, the children get together and parade the bottom of the slope with the lit torches.
