What's Happening

Saalbach has spent €42.2m on 3 new lifts! The Schonleitenbahn is a super modern 10-seater gondola which has replaced the original 1987 lift system. This extends the overall terrain to over 240km! A new 12-seater express lift will now transport 2400 winter sports fans per hour from the Oberschwarzach practice lift near the centre of Hinterglemm across 240 metres in only two minutes to the Dr. Karl-Renner House! And finally, the Oberschwarzach lift has doubled its capacity to speed up the queues as this was very popular with ski schools. From now on, up to 1800 people can be transported with the platter lifts as well as the Funparklift per hour.
