St Anton is often a firm favourite with anyone who loves to ski hard and apres ski even harder! The large Arlberg ski area plays host to over 98 lifts, allowing you for skiing from St Anton all the way to Warth without getting a bus! With its charming, traditionally Austrian atmosphere and genuine Tirolean hospitality St Anton gives you a great experience of the Austrian lifestyle. You can get to St Anton very easily within two to three hours' drive of three international airports and with a railway station at its heart.

St Anton is located in Austria’s Arlberg region, one of Europe’s snowiest areas! It offers around 305km of pistes, 200km of off-piste itineraries and over 55km² of challenging off-piste terrain. Not only that, but it also has a highly efficient lift system (88 lifts) and an attractive town bursting with stylish hotels, chalets and restaurants. The Austrians are known for their efficiency and they don't hold back on it when it comes to their ski resorts. The Ski School Arlberg is the largest school in Austria and has a fabulous reputation. It's not the easier of resorts to learn but if you want to fast track to intermediate skiing, this is the place for you! Experts will be in their element with plenty of fun to be had, both on and off-piste.

What's Happening

In 2016/17 the Arlberg ski area expanded lifts to allow skiers and snowboarders to explore more with saving time and the hassle of catching a bus. This was the birth of the Flexenbahn Cableway. This has made the Arlberg skiing area the largest contiguous skiing area in Austria! With a total investment of €45m, we would say it is money well worth spent. From Zürs, Trittkopfbahn I leads to the new intermediate station, from where skiers may either continue to the new top station of Trittkopfbahn II or use the new Flexenbahn to carry on to Alpe Rauz in Stuben. This means that all resorts of the Arlberg skiing area – St. Anton and St. Christoph, Stuben, Zürs, Lech, Oberlech as well as Schröcken and Warth – will be easily and comfortably accessible on skis. With the new cableway link, skiers on the Arlberg – Austria’s largest contiguous skiing area – will have easy access to a total of 305 km of downhill slopes and 87 lifts and cableways.
