This is a superb Irish restaurant, featuring a good selection of local beers and serving up Guinness pie and Irish mussels in cider. The price is reasonable and the service is friendly; perfect for large groups and families on a budget.

 

 

La Douce Montagne Restaurant

With its charming alpine architecture and delicious home-cooking, this is the perfect place for all the family to enjoy. The dinner the menu changes daily and you can choose between a la carte or three courses set menu from €18.50 for dinner.

 

Le Crémaillère

On outskirts of the centre of Alpe d’Huez this restaurant has traditional charm, with a wood-fired oven and seating for up to about 40 people. The friendly ambience and excellent food make this a good choice for a special night out. Mountain dishes like fondue, raclette and côte de boeuf are always popular choices.

A characterful old chalet with a menu full of Alpine favourites – from fondue, raclette and pierrade, to rump steak and saddle of lamb with a creamy garlic dressing (highly recommended).

 

Smithy’s Tavern

Looking for a place to eat after après ski? This American/Tex-Mex menu includes fajitas, ribs, steak and sharing platters. There’s also a few unexpected dishes like Thai curry, and Monday night is burger night. How does that sound?
