We know that eating plays a big part of your ski holiday!

After a long morning or day of skiing, there is nothing better than sitting down to a well-earned meal, whether that be a traditional French dish or a simple satisfying pizza.

We have put together a list of the restaurants that we think are worth paying a visit – they all stand out for their own reasons.

Munchie

On the busy rue des Moulins, this Swedish-run Asian restaurant serves some of the best food in Chamonix if you want to step away from the traditional heavy Savoyard dishes.

Be sure to book as it is hugely popular with locals and tourists alike.

Albert Premier

With two Michelin stars, this is one of the best ski resort restaurants in the world.

It’ll certainly be a night to remember, with a wide menu that includes caviar, Quercy lamb and chartreuse souffle.

Try the 9-course tasting menu for an exquisite experience.

It’s going to be expensive, but each dish and glass of wine is well worth it!

 

L’Atmosphere

Situated on the river, this has traditional gourmet French food using local and fresh ingredients within all their dishes.

It offers a cosy atmosphere with great table service. It is reasonably priced and great for all the family to come along and enjoy.

Le Cap Horn

Situated opposite Munchie, this nautically themed restaurant is also famous for its fantastic sushi.

If you’re not after Asian food it also has a wide range of other choices, and when you’re finished making your way down stairs to bar du moulins for an after dinner cocktail.

Satsuki

If you are looking for a cheaper restaurant, you should come and visit Satsuki, a Japanese restaurant which does dine in or take away.

Their set menus offer a wide range of dishes at very reasonable prices.
