This gem of a restaurant is certainly a little off the beaten track but is well worth a visit if you are staying in the Plan Peisey area. A handwritten menu and individually decorated tables all add to the restaurant’s enchanting ambience. An eclectic menu includes hearty home-cooked dishes such as game terrines, wild boar and duck, as well as fish dishes and some excellent puddings.
There is also a terrace where you can soak up the sun. People travel from miles around to visit L’Ancolie so be sure to book in advance.
Le 1950, Brasserie Francaise – 1950

This is a luxurious Parisian-style brasserie situated Arc 1950. French brasserie classics on the menu include oysters, steaks, Sole Meuniere and crème brulée. There is also a good selection of wines from all over France. If you are prepared to spend a little more and are looking for a classic French meal then this is a lovely restaurant to treat yourselves to.
Chez Clarisse 1800

This small and cosy restaurant is located in Villars in Arc 1800.
The owners are particularly welcoming and there are plenty of typical Savoyard dishes on the menu, such as fondue and raclette, as well as some excellent puddings including Tarte Tatin and boozy crème brulée!
Perfect for a romantic dinner out.
