Best Mayrhofen Restaurants

We have taken the time to list all the restaurants of the mountain that we think are worth paying a visit in Mayrhofen, many of which we have had the pleasure of eating in. Here are what we think are the best Mayrhofen restaurants.

GrillKüchl

If you are looking for a little something up market, Grill Küchl is a great restaurant to treat yourself to the fine regional cuisine. Here you will find vibrant hospitality and the typical Tyrolean hospitality (both located in our times now in the family), as well as hearty good cuisine in a rustic ambience. Reservation is highly recommended.

Wirtshaus zum Griena

This is a 400-year-old farmhouse with tables spread over separate rooms to create an intimate ambience. They serve traditional Austrian dishes including lots of dumplings and venison options. All staff are in traditional costume to complete the experience and offer a friendly service.

Here I go again, My my, how can I resist…this amazing Italian food! Here you can expect hearty Italian cuisine with superb pasta, risottos and seafood dishes. A personal favourite is the classic pepperoni pizza, I know it doesn’t seem anything special, but the taste is to die for! It is perfect for all the family.

Not for vegetarians or Vegans! This butcher is renowned throughout the Zillertal for incredible meat. You simply must visit at least once to try the hot, meat-filled semmel – and they also have excellent fresh burgers, schnitzel and bratwurst. This has a massive outdoor seating area, which looks directly over the park, on a sunny day you couldn’t ask for anything more!
