Les Arcs ski lift company ADS is continuing its investments in their ski area with an upgrade to the Pré Saint-Esprit chairlift in Arc 1950. The new lift should be able to carry around 2500 skiers from bottom to top in 8 minutes at a rate of 6 metres per second, improving the flow of skiers. The route of the new lift will be slightly different and longer than the existing one (see images above) which should improve access to the Plagnettes chairlift, reduce the likelihood of long tailbacks at the Arcabulle lift and allow you to ski more of the Vallée de l'Arc blue piste.

Beginners and intermediates will benefit from the long, smooth pistes down to the villages of Arc 1600 and Arc 1800, whereas the more thrill-seeking skier will revel in the bowls and inclines on the Aiguille Rouge. One half of the massive Paradiski area has 425km of piste linked together by the Vanoise Express chairlift.
The high-altitude skiing on the Glacier du Varet as well as a multitude of tree-lined runs further down the mountain provide a huge range of terrain to ski on for all abilities. It is also notorious for epic freeskiers and snowboarders parks. Here are some of our favourite ski runs in Les Arcs.
