BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1.1 All chalet hire bookings with The Accommodation Supplier will be on these terms or any terms substituted for them by The Accommodation Supplier from time-to-time and by making any payment to us or attempt to make a booking with us, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
1.2 The person whose name appears first on the booking form shall be deemed to be the group leader and he/she shall be deemed to be the representative of the group, have authority to accept and does accept these terms and conditions on behalf of the group and be liable for the payment of all monies owed by all members of the group to The Accommodation Supplier and to keep the group informed as required.
1.3 The “group” refers to all persons booked to stay in the accommodation listed on the booking and also includes any subsequent changes of names to the original booking.
2.1 Once availability has been confirmed by The Accommodation Supplier, a booking will be held for three days, pending receipt of the appropriate deposit by bank transfer in GB Pounds Sterling 150 per person or 25% of the total chalet price, whichever is greater.
2.2 If the required deposit and/or payment is not received within 3 days, the booking will, at The Accommodation Supplier’s sole election and without notice, be cancelled.
2.3 Notwithstanding clause 2.1 and 2.2 above, the total amount outstanding of the chalet hire is required to be paid to The Accommodation Supplier by no later than ten weeks prior to the chalet hire commencing.
2.4 In certain circumstances the owners of the chalet require us to take a damage deposit. We will advise you when this is payable and this can be up to £500
3.1 The prices stated on our website are in GB Pounds Sterling, and are for one week (7 nights) accommodation including catering. On the night that the chalet staff are off, guests are required to eat out and there will be no provision of food or drink in the chalet that night. Clients are kindly asked not to cook in the chalet for themselves.
3.2 The Accommodation Supplier guarantees the price of the accommodation as quoted at the time of booking and reserves the right to increase or decrease the price of unsold accommodation at any time. Subject to clause 3.2, the prices quoted are for the chalet hire cost only and do not include travel, transfers, holiday and medical insurance, ski passes, childcare, equipment hire, ski lessons or lunches.
4.1 If through circumstances beyond our control The Accommodation Supplier is forced to cancel your holiday a full refund is payable. This does not include events amounting to Force Majeure (Force Majeure meaning war, political unrest, weather, strikes, acts of God, epidemics, riots, civil strife, industrial disputes, terrorist activity, natural or technical disasters) or you default in the payment of any sum payable to The Accommodation Supplier on due date.
5.1 You, or any member of your party, may cancel your chalet hire at any time providing that the cancellation is made by the group leader and received by The Accommodation Supplier in writing.
5.2 The following cancellation charges apply: More than ten weeks before arrival: the deposit. Within ten weeks of arrival: 100% of the total amount payable for the chalet hire.
5.3 Non receipt of the balance of the cost of the chalet hire will not be accepted as notification of cancellation; you will still be liable for cancellation charges as shown above if you subsequently cancel the chalet hire.
6.1 With the exception of death or personal injury, The Accommodation Supplier’s liability shall be limited to the chalet hire costs and under no circumstances shall it extend to additional loss or expenses incurred in or consequent to the holiday such as travel to and from the resort, pre-booked services, tuition or ski pass.
6.2 The Accommodation Supplier has no control over weather conditions, nor the forecasting or the reporting thereof. It is agreed The Accommodation Supplier cannot guarantee the sufficiency or quality of snow or snow conditions and accordingly does not accept any liability for cancellation, curtailment or interruption of your trip of any kind as a consequence thereof or any factor/s over which it has no control or cannot reasonably foresee or cannot reasonably prevent . For the sake of clarity The Accommodation Supplier does not warrant that the pistes located at or near the chalet you are hiring shall be open or suitable for skiing, snowboarding or other snow based activities and you agree that The Accommodation Supplier shall not be liable to make any refund or to compensate you or your group nor arrange or pay for your or your group’s relocation or transport to an alternate resort.
6.3 The Accommodation Supplier does not accept any responsibility or liability whatsoever in connection with any third party service provider or provision of third party services, as per section 10 ( Third party activities and excursions) of these terms and conditions below.
7.1 The chalets must be taken on a whole chalet booking basis only (part bookings may only be accepted at the discretion of The Accommodation Supplier).
7.2 If for any reason part of the group cancels, the whole chalet hire booking price still applies and must be paid by the remaining members of the group.
7.3 The Accommodation Supplier also reserves the right to have other persons stay in the chalet unless the whole chalet is taken or paid for.
8.1 All guests should act and behave in such a manner as to not affect or disrupt the enjoyment of other persons in the chalet or the local residents, or have a negative impact on the reputation of The Accommodation Supplier or the owners/agents of the chalet.
8.2 Persons not booked into a chalet let by The Accommodation Supplier may only visit that chalet with prior notification and permission of the chalet staff and with chalet staff being present at all times.
8.3 You and all members of your group and any guests shall adhere to the terms and conditions applicable to the chalet.
8.4 When you book a chalet, you accept responsibility for the proper behavior of all the members of your group during your stay in the chalet. We reserve the right to terminate your stay and any of the members of your group whose behavior is such, in the reasonable opinion of the owner/agent or us, as likely to cause danger, upset or distress to anyone else or damage to property. In such event, no compensation or refund will be given and you shall be liable for any breakage, damage or loss suffered by the chalet owner and/or us as a consequence of your breach of these terms of business or a breach thereof by one of the members of your group in the chalet.
8.5 If you are in breach of these terms and conditions and/or the terms and conditions applicable to the chalet, we reserve the right to terminate your stay in the chalet and in such event we accept no responsibility for any damage or expense you or any member of your group may incur as a consequence of such termination.
8.6 The Accommodation Supplier reserves the right to deal with and/or settle any claim it receives from the owner/agent of the chalet as regards, breakages, damages, loss or replacement (loss) in relation to a chalet or its contents, including outdoor furniture and any hot tub, that occurs during or as a consequence of your stay as The Accommodation Supplier, in its absolute discretion, think fit including settlement by way of an instant cash payment for any loss.
9.1 You should adhere to the rules and regulations regarding the outside hot tub and / or sauna, a full description of these can be found in the chalet information pack upon arrival at the chalet.
9.2 Due to health and safety guidelines children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the hot tub and children between the ages of 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult.
9.3 The Accommodation Supplier reserves the right unto itself and for the owner/agent of the chalet to carry out any inspection and/or maintenance and/or draining/refilling required that might render the hot tub unusable to ensure all health and safety regulations are met.
10.1 The Accommodation Supplier can assist in sourcing and booking many of the extra services and activities you need when on a winter holiday. In some cases we may be able to take payment for you and in others you will be required to pay the relevant third party service provider(s) directly. You will be informed in each case. In all cases, you will be contracting with the relevant service provider(s) directly and the relevant service(s) will be subject to the terms and conditions of those individual service provider(s). In no circumstances will these arrangements form part of your contract with us. Accordingly, our assistance in the sourcing or booking of such arrangements should not be construed as an endorsement or approval of such service provider or their services and we accept no responsibility or liability whatsoever for any such service provider or provision of services.
10.2 Any grievance with a third party service provider must be taken up with the relevant provider directly, pursuant to your contract with them.
11.1 Whilst we will endeavour to assist, we accept no responsibility for items lost or left in the chalet that are not recovered or returned.
11.2 The Accommodation Supplier cannot accept any responsibility for any theft during your holiday whether from within the chalet or not.
11.3 You are required to secure the chalet (doors and windows) when not in actual occupation and when departing from the chalet at the end of your stay and shall be liable for any property loss or damage occasioned by your and/or your group’s failure to secure the chalet.
12.1 The chalet will be available to incoming guests after 5pm on the date of arrival, although we will endeavour to have the chalet ready earlier if previously arranged and agreed by The Accommodation Supplier.
12.2 The chalet must be vacated on the day of departure by 9:30am.
13.1 Please include slippers/indoor shoes as part of your packing as outdoor footwear is not permitted to be worn in the chalet.
14.1 For health and safety reasons smoking is strictly prohibited within the chalet.
14.2 There will be a designated outdoor smoking area for each chalet and smoking is restricted to this area
15.1 No matter how much care is taken, the chalets are not child proof. We will not be held responsible for any accidents occurring within the chalets, it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure their children are supervised at all times.
16.1 Guests must inform The Accommodation Supplier of any special dietary requirements at least a week before their holiday commences.
17.1 Skiing can be a dangerous pursuit both on and off piste, therefore you MUST be fully insured before partaking in a skiing holiday. We do not sell nor do we arrange insurance and it is your and your group’s responsibility ensure that the insurance arranged is appropriate for your needs.
The contract is made on the terms of these booking conditions and shall be subject to and governed by English Law. All parties submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts at all times.
We are aware, however that it remains an uncertain time to book a ski holiday. And so, to alleviate your concerns, we want to provide unrivalled flexibility in the event that there is a change in your holiday plans …

CANCELLATION BY THE PROPERTY SUPPLIER If, on your scheduled arrival date, there is an international travel ban in place OR the chalet is closed because of French laws OR the ski resort is closed because of French laws relating to covid OR the French Government requires travellers to quarantine on arrival, The Chalet Company will cancel your holiday. In the event that The Property Supplier cancels your holiday, you will have the choice of one of the following four options:
POSTPONE CREDIT NOTE PARTIAL REFUND FULL REFUND DEFINITIONS
“Postpone” Roll your booking to another week in the same chalet but later in the 2021/ 22 season or in the 2022/ 23 season. If the price of the new booking is higher than the price of the original booking, you will be required to pay the difference. If the price of the new booking is lower than the price of the original booking, you will be refunded the difference. “Credit Note” If finding another week later in the 2021/ 22 season or in the 2022/ 23 season is not immediately possible or your group numbers change, we can issue you with a credit note for a future booking with The Property Supplier. There is no deadline on credit notes. “Partial Refund” You can also opt to take a partial refund of 75% of monies paid, with the remaining 25% issued to you as a credit note for a future booking with The The Property Supplier “Full Refund” The “nuclear” option! With this option, you can take a full refund of 100% of monies paid!
