  3. World class ski park with 'The Beach' bar overlooking
  4. Lively and abundant apres locations fuelled by affordable duty-free drinks

Located in an isolated valley 1,800 meters into the Italian Alps, Livigno is a true gem. Nicknamed 'Little Tibet' due to its remote location, up until the 1970s it was cut off from the rest of Italy - acting only as a site for livestock farmers or a smuggling route for those passing into Switzerland. Now, with a respectable 115km of snow-sure slopes and a lively Apres scene (likely helped its duty-free alcohol), Livigno is an established resort on the European circuit.

Skiing in Livigno

Skiing in Livigno offers something for all parties. In the North-West side of the valley, a beginners paradise, wide gentle slopes make the perfect place to find your confidence. For the intermediates - venture on upwards, gorgeous long reds with panoramic scenery of the Italian Alps await at the top of Carosello 3000. For the advanced, indulge in the many free ride areas & snowparks dotted all over the resort.

Apres Ski

One of Italy's liveliest ski locations, Livigno has a selection of bars and clubs that can compete with most resorts in the Alps. No doubt helped by the areas duty-free alcohol, the party runs every day of the season without fail. Kosmo & Stalet are the main venues - at both you can expect table top dancing and live bands/djs. At the Marcos Pub in the centre, you can catch sport on the big screen, often followed by a variety of themed nights in the evening. Alternatively, if you fancy something more sophisticated, you can visit Jpoica, which offers a great selection of cocktails and wines. For those looking to go into the early hours of the morning, Bivio transforms from a classy hotel into a popular nightclub open late. Whatever you're after, Livigno offers it at affordable prices, without compromising on quality.
