In the Alta Badia region on the border of the 26km Sella Ronda ski circuit (400km in the linked area) and surrounded by stunning scenery with the mountains dropping into pinky hues in the early and late hours each day.
Extensive, gentle slopes surrounding the village make it a great base for families or beginner skiers. Intermediates can take their pick of the extensive runs and feel like they're really travelling around a huge and diverse ski area. One of the most striking (scenically) we've come across.
In the South Tyrol, Corvara has both Austrian and Italian influences and this is seen to great effect in the food. It's the hearty dishes you know from Austria with a little Italian refinement so they don't sit too heavily on your stomach - heaven in our eyes.
Corvara is placed where the Sella Ronda meets Alta Badia giving you the perfect starting point to explore the vast ski area with 400km of linked slopes and a wider 1,200km included on the lift pass.
The immediate vicinity of Corvara is a large array of beginner and intermediate slopes linking into more challenging terrain. It's great for a sense of really travelling through a ski area.
