Cervinia is a modern, high-altitude resort with fabulous long runs and even in the driest Italian winter, top-to-bottom snow conditions are virtually guaranteed, making it the perfect snow sports playground. Perfectly groomed pistes invite all skiers from the beginner to the more adventurous. Cervinia has 160km of pistes covered on its local lift pass and is also linked by lifts to Zermatt in Switzerland. There is a total of 360km of skiing covered on the international ski pass.

The 8km Ventina red run, which takes in breathtaking views of the surrounding 4,000m peaks, descends a mighty 1,833m from the top of Plateau Rosa (3,480m) all the way down to the resort and if completed without a stop is guaranteed to turn even the strongest legs to spaghetti!

Cervinia is by no means the prettiest of resorts, with the core of pre-WW2 buildings reflecting the austere imposing style of the time, however modern buildings sympathetically balance out the past against a backdrop of breathtaking 4,000m summits.
