Staying in Grindelwald is nothing short of dramatic, set amongst some spectacular scenery including the infamous Eiger mountain. You can also head to the cog railway stations to get up the mountain by train (included in your lift pass) for a novel experience and they add to the charm of the resort.
The 206km ski area is perfect cruising territory with some plenty of mountain huts serving lunchtime delights to sink your teeth into. The restaurants in town are also highly recommended serving up a great array of local delicacies. They create a real buzz about the resort with chalet-style buildings giving it an attractive feel and old-world charm.
It's not just the slopes that are perfect for families with all sorts of non-ski activities to try out and keep you entertained. A highlight would definitely be taking a trip up the mountain to the highest railway station in Europe with stunning views across the UNESCO-heritage site Aletsch Glacier.

Spread over two valleys and three mountain ranges the 206km of piste skiing in the Jungfrau ski region is set at the foot of the towering north face of Eiger. It's a spectacular view that you won't get tired of.
Both the Grindelwald-First and Grindelwald-Wengen ski areas are directly accessible from the resort and make up the vast majority of the ski area (170km) with Murren just the other side of the valley to Wengen being a short train ride away.
The slopes around Grindelwald are perfectly suited for the progressive beginners and are an intermediates dream with some great off-piste thrown in as well. But if you're an advanced skier it would be worth getting the wider area pass and spending a day over in Murren with some of the most challenging runs in the ski area.
